The carrier material of the sterile quick wound dressing is provided with a hypoallergenic polyacrylic adhesive and consists of an elastic, transparent polyurethane film. The film provides all-round protection for the wound dressing, which does not adhere to the wound. The wounds are protected from the penetration of pathogenic germs by the film. It is waterproof, but permeable to water vapor. Without soaking the dressing with water, the patient can perform daily personal hygiene. The transparent film allows the moisture status of the wound dressing to be assessed without having to remove the dressing. These so-called transparent "island plasters" are individually sterile packed. There are 50 plasters in one package.
