Cosmopor® silicone is a sterile rapid wound dressing that can be gently removed thanks to a skin-friendly perforated silicone adhesive layer. It does not adhere to the wound or surgical sutures, but still provides strong fixation. The rapid wound dressing is pliable and cushioning, breathable and at the same time water-repellent. Additionally, Cosmopor® silicone has high absorbency and retention capabilities. The viscose wound pad absorbs wound exudate and channels it to the superabsorbent fibers. There, the exudate is permanently trapped, preventing it from returning to the wound. The rapid wound dressing thus enables gentle care for skin with high demands.
