Shower gel is one of the standard care products we use every day without giving it much thought. But precisely because it comes into contact with our skin so often, it is worth paying attention to the ingredients. Cheap standard products often contain chemical ingredients that could cause itching or dryness in sensitive skin types.
Mild, medical shower gels do more than simply wash away the day's dirt and sweat. Gentle ingredients such as Aloe Vera also care for the skin and help prevent dryness and itching. One example is DESODERM shower gel from Dr. Schumacher, which was specifically developed for use with age-related skin problems.
The same applies to shampoo, where choosing the wrong product can lead to dry skin. This could actually encourage the formation of dandruff rather than prevent it. People with stressed or aging scalps should choose gentle, pH-skin-neutral products that do not contain aggressive chemical additives.

Bath oil is a bath additive used to prepare oil baths, which make the skin soft and supple. The contained natural oils leave a nourishing protective film on the skin and have an itch-relieving effect. Bath oils are therefore often also suitable for skin care for mature, itchy, dry or flaky skin and for eczematous skin diseases.
The ESEMTAN® bath oil from Schülke can be used for nourishing full or partial baths. This highly skin-tolerant bath oil contains nourishing substances such as D-panthenol, Aloe Vera, jojoba oil and vitamin E.
Medical oil baths such as the Descomed bath additive from Dr. Schumacher are designed to meet the specific requirements of hospitals and care facilities. The Descomed oil bath can be used as a shower and full bath for patient care, including for eczema or incontinence and anus praeter care.

Antimicrobial skin cleansing solutions are primarily used when caring for patients with certain infectious diseases and colonization by highly resistant germs. These are not typical disinfectants, but rather germ-reducing cleansing solutions for the skin. Please note that these skin cleansers must remain in contact with the skin for a certain period - the contact time may vary depending on the type of germs present.
Products such as Decontaman Liquid skin cleansing solution from Dr. Schumacher help reduce germs on patients' skin. Decontaman even reduces persistent bacteria such as MRSA and VRE. Its effect stabilizes the skin flora and reduces body odors. The polyhexanide-containing product is gentle on the skin and mucous membranes.
Medical cleansing foam also helps reduce germs and also has an odor-binding effect. The advantage of cleansing foam is that it can be used for dry washing, as it dries on its own without leaving a film on the skin. Since rinsing with water is not necessary, this skin cleanser is suitable for washing bedridden patients.
Take, for example, the ESEMTAN® cleansing foam from Schülke. The low-surfactant and colorless product has a subtle, fresh fragrance, refatting substances and is very skin-friendly. ESEMTAN cleansing foam contains alcohol and has a pH value of 7. It can also be used for gentle, water-free washing in cases of diarrhea or incontinence.
Washing lotions for gentle cleansing of the body and hands
This part of our range contains washing lotions of medical quality for hand and body washing in businesses, hospitals, nursing homes or in everyday private life. The mostly soap-, alkali- and dye-free washing lotions are a skin-friendly alternative to many commercially available liquid soaps.
The range of products extends from gentle cleansing lotions for daily use to antimicrobial washing lotions that are effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria. In addition to medical use, these products are particularly suitable for food processing businesses, where special priority is given to hand hygiene. Many of the moisturizing preparations are also suitable for allergy sufferers or highly sensitive skin types.
One washing lotion frequently used in the industrial sector and also in the catering industry for washing hands is Qualysept® from Schülke. This washing lotion contains natural soaps and also removes stubborn dirt caused by grease or protein. At the same time, the lotion acts bactericidally, yeasticidally and with limited virucidal efficacy. It allows the hands to be washed and disinfected at the same time.
Another example of antimicrobial washing lotions is Stellisept med by Bode. This product has a broad spectrum of activity and is even suitable for treating MRSA patients. The skin and mucous membranes tolerate the lotion well. Therefore, Stellisept can be used for antiseptic full-body washing and even for washing hair. Thanks to its short contact time of around 30 seconds, the product is also used in sanitary areas or in the food sector.
Dispensers are important aids when hand washing and daily body care are to be carried out as hygienically as possible. Most medical dispenser systems use operating levers that do not need to be touched but can, for example, be operated with the elbow. In addition to various Euro dispensers for soaps and disinfectants, we also offer the innovative Hyclick dispenser system from Schülke.
This system makes it easier to change the used bottles and is virtually maintenance-free. Most dispensers need to be cleaned regularly - especially when a different substance than before is to pass through the dispenser head. Hyclick dispensers, on the other hand, are virtually maintenance-free because the actual dispenser is only a holder into which a bottle with its own dispenser head is clipped. The dispenser's arm lever presses on the bottle's dosing head and releases soaps or lotions. The dispensed amount per operation can even be adjusted using a rotary switch beneath the lever.
Inserting and removing the dispenser bottles is child's play. In this way, disinfectants or cleaning products can be changed in the dispenser as desired. Since all bottles have their own closures, they can be inserted immediately into another Hyclick dispenser or stored temporarily without any further effort.
The various cleaning and care products for the Hyclick system can be purchased from us in practical sets together with a wall dispenser. One example is the soap-free and pH-neutral esemtan® washing lotion from Schülke. This dermatologically tested lotion is suitable for hand washing as well as bathing or showering. The versatile product also contains neither perfume nor wool wax and can be used practically for all skin types.
Soap, shampoo, shower gel, care baths and spa baths
The range of skin care cleansing products is very extensive. In our segment for cosmetic supplies and cosmetic equipment, you will find numerous soaps, shampoos, shower gels, care baths or spa baths for daily hygiene and body care.
Anti-itch shampoo: Dry and flaky scalp can sometimes be difficult to treat. Once dandruff appears, it is difficult not to scratch it and make everything even worse. We carry mild shampoo from Asam Kräuterhof, which, through ingredients such as allantoin, bisabolol and panthenol, relieves itching and supports the healing process. The moisturizing shampoo is free from silicone, mineral oil, colorants and other artificial substances.
Caffeine shampoo also helps against dandruff formation on the scalp. However, its main area of application is combating hereditary hair loss or promoting hair growth. Caffeine is attributed with a stimulating and strengthening effect on weakened hair roots. Vitamin B3 and panthenol in the shampoo also ensure supple hair.
There is also suitable shampoo for washing oily hair. For example, a shampoo with a phytocomplex made from garlic, white dead-nettle, watercress, chamomile, arnica and other herbs is recommended here. This complex of active ingredients regulates sebum production on the scalp and brings it back to a normal level.
Disposable wash mitts
Wash mitts are very practical aids because they can be safely pulled over the hand. Disposable wash mitts are also usually impregnated with nourishing and cleansing substances that are released during washing.
Our range also includes moist wash mitts specifically intended for caring for bedridden people. The refatting liquid in the mitts is enriched with nourishing panthenol and Aloe Vera. It is quickly absorbed into the skin and eliminates the need to dry off with a towel.
Special wash mitts are offered for the care and full-body washing of patients with MRSA, ORSA, VRE or severe incontinence. One example is the octenisan® wash mitts for MDR decontamination from Schülke. These allantoin-containing care aids are also used for washing immobile patients in intensive care or infectious disease wards.
